Description
Welcome to the St. Augustine office on U.S. 1 South serving St. Johns County including St. Augustine Beach, Crescent Beach, Elkton, Hastings, Ponte Vedra Beach, Vilano Beach and surrounding areas.

St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States and was founded by the Spanish Admiral Pedro Menendez de Aviles on September 8, 1565. In 1763, the Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian War giving Florida and St. Augustine to the British. In 1821, Florida and St. Augustine was peaceably turned over to the United States.

In the late 19th century the railroad came to town led by northeastern industrialist Henry Flagler. St. Augustine soon became a winter resort for the very wealthy. A number of mansions and palatial grand hotels of this era still exist, some converted to other uses, such as housing parts of Flagler College and museums.

St. Augustine is a popular tourist attraction for the Spanish and 1900s architectural heritage. The city is also the terminus of the Old Spanish Trail which in the 1920’s linked St. Augustine to San Diego, California, with 3,000 miles of roadways.

Visitors come from all over the world to vacation at St. Augustine’s beachfront as well as visit the Lighthouse, Fort Castillo de San Marcos, Fountain of Youth and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum. Venture through the old City Gates down the historic pedestrian St. George Street with all its quaint shops and visit the oldest school house in the United States.

Golfing attracts people from far and wide with several famous golf courses including the Players Championship TPC at Sawgrass, The King & Bear and Slammer & Squire at World Golf Village.
